Blackbird Singing

April 6, 2017

I designed this for my wife a few years back now and I sold a print of it on Etsy for a while, but I figured I'd put up a 5x7 free downloadable version for anyone who wants it. We printed a large version which is on the wall of our bedroom and I don't ever get tired of it. Blackbird is one of my all-time favorite songs and I love these particular lines of lyric. Recently Paul (who wrote the song) has said that he was referring to the civil rights issues of the 1960's and specifically was using the term "bird" as the old british reference to a woman.
